While waiting for a full moon to rise I was fortunate to witness this spectacular sunset over the boats in Scituate (MA) harbor. The golden color of the sun against the fading blue was amazing. I liked that I was able to capture the silhouettes of the harbor boats to help give it context.
Shot on Steamship Pier, this collection of buoys is used during the boating season to mark the location for each boat in the harbor. Each buoy has the owner's name on it. I envisioned an abstract painting so during post processing added contrast and saturation to emphasize the colors and writing.
Ideal print format is 8"x10", etc.
